VP Ops

Role -  VP, Operations to define and deliver against strategic initiatives within Content Ops. This role will be responsible for developing and executing program- and project-level priorities that align with the company’s business objectives and culture. This role is critical in ensuring the successful adoption of new processes, systems, and organizational changes by working closely with executive leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

·         Act as owner of day-to-day operations across multiple SME teams managing a wide spectrum of datasets, being responsible for both people and process.

·         Identify opportunities for process engineering and AI-enabled workflows to drive operational efficiencies in data ingestion, processing, and delivery. 

·         Serve as functional lead for India-based operations for the Content Ops group, while also retaining global responsibility for business dependencies.

·         Act as enabler transformation programs being baselined as core business activities, including but not limited to:

·         Organizational (e.g., implementation of target operating model & upstream institutional structure)

·         Operational (e.g., definition of workflows and standard operating procedures used for authoring and research support)

·         Data harmonization (e.g., reconciliation of data across disparate datasets)

·         Interface with business stakeholders to articulate how data quality KPIs and other metrics resolve up to client use case and overall market strategy.

·         Own enterprise initiatives, including authoring SOP implementation, client research support, and SLA stewardship.

·         Align operational excellence and talent utilization with the commercial needs .

·         Foster a culture of continuous improvement by embedding best practices into the organization’s daily operations.

·         Directly engage with global clients to understand unmet needs and how they bridge down to content operations.

·         Lead and mentor a team of content ops professionals, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.

·         Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity of thought and encourages innovation.

Key Requirements

·         BSc or equivalent preferentially in life sciences

·         10+ years’ experience preferably in operations or adjacent fields

·         Excellent stakeholder management, managerial and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to manage own workload, work independently, and manage a team of managers

·         Experience implementing strategic initiatives at a company-wide level

·         Finance and budget management skills

·         Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements

·         Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

·         Impeccable or native English verbal and written communication
