QA Manual Tester

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Manual Tester with 4-5 years of experience in software testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of web, mobile, and API-based applications through comprehensive testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual testing, good exposure to Android and iOS mobile application testing, API testing using Postman, and a basic understanding of writing SQL queries for data validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.
• Perform end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications.
• Perform Android and iOS mobile application testing.
• Test mobile applications across different devices, screen sizes, resolutions, and OS versions.
• Validate mobile application functionality, UI, navigation, usability, and responsiveness.
• Perform mobile-specific testing, including:
• Application installation and upgrade
• App launch and crash validation
• Login/logout and session management
• Push notifications
• Background and foreground behavior
• Wi-Fi and mobile data switching
• Offline and poor network scenarios
• Device rotation and orientation
• Call and notification interruptions
• Deep links and external application integrations
• Perform API testing using Postman.
• Validate REST API requests and responses, status codes, headers, authentication, and error handling.
• Perform basic backend/database validation using SQL queries.
• Write basic SQL queries to validate application data and verify data integrity.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Provide clear defect descriptions, reproduction steps, screenshots, videos, logs, and other supporting information.
• Perform regression testing for new features, enhancements, releases, and production fixes.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews and provide inputs from a QA perspective.
• Work closely with Developers, Product Managers and other QA team members.
• Support UAT and production validation activities.
• Maintain test documentation and provide regular testing status and defect reports.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and contribute to improving QA processes.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong experience in Functional and Regression Testing.
• Hands-on experience in Web Application Testing.
• Hands-on experience in Android and iOS Mobile Application Testing.
• Experience testing applications across multiple mobile devices and OS versions.
• Good understanding of mobile application testing methodologies and challenges.
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing using Postman.
• Basic knowledge of writing SQL queries for data validation and verification.
• Ability to perform basic database validation and data integrity checks.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Other similar tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently own testing activities for assigned features/modules.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Selenium or other automation testing tools.
• Basic understanding of mobile automation testing.
• Experience testing AWS/cloud-based applications.
• Exposure to performance and security testing concepts.
• Experience working with CI/CD environments.
• Basic knowledge of C#/.NET.
• Experience testing third-party integrations and external APIs.
