Benefits Specialist
1. U.S. Benefits Administration
We are looking for a candidate with approximately 3-5 years of hands-on U.S. benefits administration experience. The candidate should direct experience administering health and welfare benefits, answering questions for new hires, responding to inquiries related to qualified life events, Open Enrollment transactions, and responding to employee benefit inquiries. This role is heavily focused on day-to-day administration and employee support.
2. Data Accuracy and Reconciliation
Candidate should have general experience performing audits and reconciling data between Bswift (benefit system) and payroll. We are looking for a candidate who can identify and research discrepancies independently, determine root causes, partner with vendors or internal teams, and ensure issues are fully resolved.
3. Leave Administration
Candidates should have experience administering FMLA, disability leaves, state leave programs, and workers' compensation coordination (in coordination with WC and disability vendors). They should be able to differentiate between activities they manage versus those administered by a third-party leave vendor. Preference will be given to candidates who have actively coordinated leave cases and communicated with employees and managers throughout the process.
4. Other Benefits Processes
Candidates should have a general knowledge of COBRA administration, Medical Support Notices, and retirement plan support. They should be comfortable independently managing benefit-related transactions, vendor coordination, employee inquiries, and compliance-related administrative tasks
