VP Operations

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end operations for the business — production, quality, delivery, and cost —

with the Head of Operations reporting into this role

• Drive business development and sales strategy, with the Head of Sales reporting into this

role, to grow revenue across India’s textile-industry customer base, and support

its expansion into semiconductor, electronics, and aerospace

• Translate the Managing Director’s strategic priorities into an operating plan spanning both

manufacturing and commercial functions

• Personally engage on key customer relationships and major new-business pursuits,

alongside the sales team

• Bring domain-informed judgment to manufacturing decisions — process choices, capacity

planning, make-vs-buy, capital investment — across metal working, surface treatment, and

design/engineering

• Own the business’s commercial targets — revenue growth, margin, on-time delivery, and

quality — and report on them directly to the Managing Director

• Build and develop the leadership bench beneath this role, starting with the Heads of

Operations and Sales

What We’re Looking For

• 15+ years of experience in strategic operations leadership within an engineering or

manufacturing environment, with a track record of running a business or a major function —

not just contributing to one

• Domain expertise in metal working, surface treatment, design, and general engineering is

strongly preferred

• A genuine track record in business development and sales management — comfortable

owning revenue targets and customer relationships, not only operational ones

• Experience leading through functional heads rather than doing the work directly — this role

manages Operations and Sales leaders, not individual contributors

• Strong commercial and P&L judgment, and the ability to operate as a direct strategic partner

to a Managing Director
