Grade G150: Sr. Statistical Programmer

Job Overview
Provide experienced technical expertise to develop process methodology for department to meet internal and external clients’ needs. Plan and coordinate the development of integrated programming solutions serving the full spectrum of statistical programming needs. Provide technical expertise and leadership to the department. Provide internal consulting services, including specifications and user needs analysis for complex project or client requirements.

Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on R programming experience. Experience in developing, validating, and maintaining statistical analysis programs using R in a regulated environment is required.

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on R programming experience is mandatory.
• Experience in Safety or Efficacy analysis programming within clinical trials.
• Hands-on experience in the creation of efficacy datasets and efficacy outputs (Tables, Listings, and Figures).
• Experience in ADaM specification writing for Safety and/or Efficacy studies.
• Experience in preparing Analysis Data Reviewer’s Guide (ADRG) and Define.xml.
• Experience using Pinnacle 21 (P21) for dataset validation and regulatory compliance checks.
• Strong knowledge of CDISC SDTM and ADaM standards.
• Experience with SAS programming and clinical study submissions is preferred.

Essential Functions
• Perform, plan and co-ordinate the following for complex studies: (i) the programming, testing, and documentation of statistical programs for use in creating statistical tables, figures, and listing summaries and (ii) the programming of analysis databases (derived datasets) and transfers of data for internal and external clients. May perform and plan the programming of database quality control checks.
• Program and plan the integration of databases from multiple studies or sources.
• Develop and co-ordinate programming documentation including plans and specifications, as appropriate, for complex studies.
• Provide advanced technical expertise in conjunction with internal and external clients, and independently bring project solutions to teams and department, for complex studies.
• Perform, plan and co-ordinate the development, implementation and validation of new process technologies, macros and applications.
• Utilize R programming for statistical analyses, data manipulation, reporting, automation, and development of programming solutions as required by project needs.
• Fulfill project responsibilities at the level of statistical team lead for single complex studies or group of studies.
• Understand the Scope of Work, budget and quote assumptions, estimate the work completed, manage Out of Scope and resource forecasts for single studies. May manage project budget and resource requirements, and provide revenue forecasts for single studies.
• Provide training and guidance to lower level staff.

The Principal Stat Programmer plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of statistical programming across various clinical projects. This position demands proficiency in SAS programming and familiarity with CDISC standards, particularly ADaM and SDTM models. The role re

quires experience in Safety and/or Efficacy analysis programming, including creation of efficacy datasets and efficacy outputs, ADaM specifications writing, and regulatory submission documentation. Key responsibilities include developing and validating complex data sets and outputs, collab

orating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, and providing technical guidance on statistical methodologies and programming best practices. The role also involves mentoring junior programmers and contributing to the continuous improvement of programming workflows and standards, supporting the overall quality deliverables of the statistical programming department.

Essential Functions

• Develops and validates complex datasets and outputs using SAS programming, ensuring compliance with CDISC standards such as ADaM and SDTM models.

• Utilizes Pinnacle 21 (P21) to validate datasets and ensure submission readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize statistical programming processes and enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.
• Provides technical guidance and expertise on statistical methodologies to support clinical trial projects and departments.
• Mentors and guides junior programmers, fostering their growth and development.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of programming workflows and departmental standards.
• Ensures high-quality deliverables from the statistical programming department by adhering to best practices and established protocols.
• Leads initiatives to enhance programming tools and techniques, driving innovation in statistical programming.
• Partners with leadership to align programming objectives with larger organizational goals.
• Utilizes R programming to support statistical analyses, automation, data manipulation, reporting, and development of programming solutions where applicable.

• Bachelor's Degree Statistics, Computer Science or related field Req
