Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to contribute to the analysis, design, and execution of quality assurance processes across multiple computing environments. The role focuses on ensuring software quality through effective test planning, manual and automated testing, defect management, production support, and adherence to QA methodologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate system functionality, improve software quality, and support successful product releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to identify testing needs and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Identify requirements requiring clarification to ensure appropriate test coverage.
• Develop and maintain test cases, including test data, test processes, and expected results for:
  • Component and assembly testing
  • Integration testing
  • System testing
  • Security and control testing
  • User interface and online help testing
  • Conversion testing
  • Regression testing
• Participate in code reviews to validate requirements, clarify test scenarios, and provide feedback to development teams.
• Execute manual and automated functional testing and document test results.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects through the defect lifecycle.
• Participate in defect triage and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Validate application functionality across multiple releases.
• Develop automated test scripts where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with QA methodologies, standards, and testing procedures.
• Track project artifacts throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor team members on quality assurance best practices.
• Support load, stress, performance, and reliability testing activities.
• Ensure test environments are properly configured and available for project execution.
• Implement and maintain automated testing tools.
• Perform periodic audits to verify controlled software versions across environments.
• Communicate deployment status and testing progress to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a systems quality assurance environment.
• Bachelor's degree (BS) or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
• Basic scripting and automation experience using Python or PowerShell.
• Proficiency in SQL for debugging, data validation, and root cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of debugging techniques, application logs, error messages, and system behavior.
• Experience with production environments, release management, and rollback strategies.
• Experience developing test plans, test cases, and executing functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of operating systems, database management systems, and application development frameworks.
• Familiarity with test case management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, development teams, and leadership, especially during production incidents.
