The Role
We are looking for a Cloud Operations Lead to own our AWS infrastructure and drive the operational maturity of our cloud environment. - Receive infrastructure from DevOps and own it— ensuring runbooks, processes, and support models are in place
- Decommission legacy tooling as migrations complete
Ongoing Operations
- Establish and own monitoring, alerting, and incident response across cloud workloads
- Build and maintain runbooks and operational procedures for all production infrastructure
- Drive continuous improvement — identifying and resolving reliability, performance, and cost issues
- Optimise cloud spend — right-sizing, reserved instances, cost allocation by product/customer
- Work with the Chief Architect on IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and compliance requirements for financial services clients
- Work in close collaboration with DevOps teams on infrastructure requirements and handoffs
- Support product teams with cloud architecture guidance and environment provisioning
