Job Description: Mid‑Level Software Tester / QA Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Mid-Level Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing—specifically using Selenium, Cucumber, and Appium—along with solid analytical skills and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high‑quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to identify and create clear and comprehensive test cases.
- Execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), and Appium.
- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with developers to drive resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand product features, use cases, and risks.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, reporting, and quality reviews.
- Validate fixes and patches as part of CI/CD processes.
- Contribute to QA process improvements and best practices.
- Support UAT and coordinate with business stakeholders when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 4–5 years of professional software testing or QA experience.
- Hands‑on experience with automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), and Appium.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
- Experience with test management/defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
- Proficiency in writing clear, detailed test cases and test documentation.
- Solid understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other automation tools/frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured).
- API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
- SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines).
- Basic understanding of performance or security testing concepts.
