Power BI Developer

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is part of the Delivery Excellence team within the Strategic Operations Department. The Software Engineer is responsible for supporting GSC with Power BI Development , Reporting using BI, Data Analysis, MIS across various Systems.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Create & manage Microsoft PowerBI Dashboards Microsoft DAX, JIRA Boards
• Write SQL queries for data extraction and analysis. Proficiency in writing Complex SQL Queries.
• Design, Develop, deploy, and maintain BI interfaces, Containers - including data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI.
• Organize backlog in the Jira ticketing tool.
• Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot existing ETL jobs, BI models, dashboards and reports.
• Troubleshoot & Fix failures/errors in data or dashboards.
• Exposure Azure – Delta lakes, Other cloud offerings
• Solid understanding of relational databases
• Strong SQL skills, must be able to write complex queries and be able to script
• Able to assemble, analyze, and evaluate data and be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business and project teams
• Manage and oversee 5-6 BI reporting projects simultaneously, ensure KPIs aligned with each projects are being reported.
• Work with Cross Functional teams to populate data to BI Boards & Containers periodically.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular reviews, data validation, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Enhancing efficiency through Lean methodologies, automation and digital integration to improve processes
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in reporting and analytics tools and techniques
• Fundamental knowledge about JIRA & Servicenow

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field; 3-4 Years of experience in BI Development, BI reporting, Business  Analysis, DAX & other MIS
•  Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Suite of products.
•  Ability to work on multiple tasks and to self-manage deliverables, meetings, and information gathering.
