Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computational or information sciences
- Demonstrated knowledge of Linux.
- Demonstrated knowledge in source control tools (e.g., Git).
- Demonstrated programming skills in languages such as R, Python, C/C++ etc. and related packages and tools.
- Recognized for broad learning agility
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, innovative thinking with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to a business partner and ability to understand the business needs / language and translate into a technical (IT) language / application.
- Experience working in an Agile team
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of advanced HPC technologies such as OpenMP, MPI, and accelerators (GPUs).
- Working knowledge of HPC environments. Experience using HPC schedulers and resource managers such as Univa Grid Engine.
- Demonstrated knowledge in IaaS clouds (e.g., Amazon Web Services - AWS) and IaaS cloud services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, AWS Batch, AWS Lambda, AWS Parallel Cluster)
- AWS certification
- Understanding of software development in research and production environments. Ability to take someone else's code (in any language) and make changes.
