Engagement Manager Strategy

The Strategy practice works with leadership teams to define and execute growth agendas through structured, data-driven problem solving, with a strong focus on the technology services ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic transactions, work closely with founders, CXOs, investors, and private equity firms, and contribute to high-impact business initiatives across the technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Leadership
- Lead end-to-end M&A advisory and capital raising engagements across buy-side, sell-side, strategic advisory, and private capital transactions.
- Drive transaction execution from origination through signing and closure while ensuring high-quality client outcomes.
- Lead financial modeling and valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, and transaction comparables.
- Develop transaction structures and investment recommendations.
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with legal advisors, accounting firms, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee multiple live transactions simultaneously while ensuring quality, timeliness, and successful execution.
Business Development & Client Management
- Build and strengthen relationships with founders, promoters, CEOs, CFOs, private equity funds, venture capital investors, and strategic acquirers.
- Identify acquisition opportunities, strategic partners, investors, and transaction opportunities for clients.
- Contribute to business development, mandate origination, and revenue growth.
- Lead client discussions, negotiations, management presentations, and strategic transaction discussions.
Deal Materials & Strategic Analysis
- Review and oversee the preparation of teasers, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, pitch books, investment memoranda, valuation reports, and board materials.
- Interpret complex qualitative and quantitative information to develop actionable strategic recommendations.
- Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, transaction benchmarking, and investor landscape assessments across the technology ecosystem.
- Provide strategic insights that strengthen transaction positioning and support client decision-making.
Team Leadership
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members while maintaining consistently high-quality deliverables.
- Drive project planning, execution, and quality assurance across multiple client engagements.
- Foster collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 7–12 years of experience in Investment Banking, M&A Advisory, Private Equity, Transaction Advisory, or Corporate M&A.
- Strong experience across both transaction execution and client relationship management.
- Demonstrated experience originating and executing M&A and capital raising transactions.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise.
- Strong understanding of the Technology and Technology Services ecosystem.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience using financial databases and market intelligence platforms such as Capital IQ and PitchBook.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and live transactions under tight timelines.
- Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- High ownership mindset, strong attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience covering Technology, IT Services, Software, SaaS, Digital Engineering, ER&D, AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, or Technology-enabled Services sectors.
- MBA from a Tier 1 institute.
- CA, CFA, or Engineering background.
