Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of 1–2 microservice modules end-to-end.
  • Design EF Core data models and PostgreSQL schemas with long-term maintainability in mind.
  • Architect cross-service SQS messaging flows, addressing idempotency, retry semantics, and dead-letter handling.
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Partner with the Scrum Master, QA, and Product Owner to translate Jira tickets into actionable, well-scoped technical plans.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for production incidents and drive sustained, long-term improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including 3+ years of .NET / C# (.NET 8.0 a plus).
  • Proven track record of independently delivering at least one production-grade microservice system, with sound judgment on service decomposition and the trade-offs between synchronous HTTP and asynchronous messaging.
  • Deep proficiency in EF Core: clear judgment on when to apply Data Annotations vs. Fluent API; thorough understanding of N+1, change tracking, and projection performance implications.
  • Strong PostgreSQL fundamentals: indexing strategy, query plan analysis, locking, and transaction isolation levels.
  • Hands-on production experience with at least one message queue technology (SQS / Kafka / RabbitMQ).
  • Working knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes fundamentals (able to read and reason about Deployment, Service, and ConfigMap manifests).
  • Disciplined Git workflow and high standards for commit hygiene.
  • English proficiency: able to engage in technical discussions and system design verbally; able to author English technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Production AWS experience across SQS / S3 / ECS / EKS.
  • Familiarity with local Kubernetes development tooling such as Tilt or Skaffold.
  • Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
  • Hands-on observability experience (OpenTelemetry / Prometheus / Grafana).
  • Domain experience in print, logistics, or e-commerce fulfillment.
  • Practical experience with DTO mapping libraries (Mapster / AutoMapper), including performance tuning.

-- Excel modeling and powerpoint expertise is a must
