Job Summary:               The primary function of this position is to validate and analyze portfolio performance, attribution and ex-post risk statistics for publication to the Firms internal/external clients.  This position will support and liaison with an Investment Team.  No

 

Job Responsibilities:               Provide an oversight role for Performance and Risk Analysis.                                                                   Review portfolio performance, attribution and risk by analyzing the accuracy and quality of the underlying data.                                                                                                                                                  Perform data validation, exception processing to improve data coverage and ensure accuracy for reporting.                                                                                                                                                                Provide commentary for performance, attribution and risk statistics.                                                                                                                     Identify and resolve complex data issues impacting performance, attribution and risk reports.                                                                                                                   Ensure reports are delivered to the various Investment teams in accordance with the SLA.                                                                                                                            Field all ad hoc request from the Investment teams in accordance with the SLA.  Review accounts to ensure proper inclusion in the various composites as per GIPS and FTCI policies.                                                                                                     Review all automated validation controls and complete all issue resolution process.   

Client Support:           Manage the inflow, review and distribution of all requests from the Investment team.                                                                                                                                  Provide investment performance and risk consulting services for internal and external clients via written/verbal communication.                                                                                 

Compliance:                 Ensure department policies, composites, procedures and processes adhere to the spirit of GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards).         

Other: Represent the functional team and lead project activities.                                                                       Remain current on performance related trends, topics and issues.

Experience:   Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance with a Quantitative discipline.                                                                                                   Experience in a Business Analyst role.                                                                                                                              10 or more years of relevant work experience.                                                                                      Knowledge securities, mutual funds and financial instruments and markets in the Financial Services Industry.                                                                                                                                       Experience developing effective processes regarding portfolio performance and risk management.      Advanced understanding of quantitative/statistical theory.                                                            Understanding database functionality and programing skills regarding SQL, Visual Basic and Python.                                                                                                                                                         Proficiency in SQL and writing workflows and queries.                                                                                                                                                             Strong data management skills and technology.                                                                                      Knowledge and experience with the FactSet B-One application is a plus.                                                 Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and the ability to build long lasting working relationships.                                                                                                                                                   Working towards a CIPM, FRM or CFA designation is a plus.
